Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort by IHG

Location is great! Having a restaurant in the hotel was great too 'cause we arrived hungry! Walking distance to fun shops. And just a short walk down the block & across the crosswalk to the pier. And down the steps to the beautiful sandy beach which is why we choose this particular hotel! We even grabbed boogie boards from the hotel to go body boarding. Friendly staff are helpful & attentive. It's an active, delightful, classy hotel with a super chill vibe~ Other folks reviews say they didn't like the noise from the cars on the street. Our room faced the street and we didn't mind the hustle bustle of the strip. We just closed our balcony door at night and the room was quiet enough that the car noises didn't bother us; and we even stayed during a busy airshow weekend. We went to bed early and had a sound sleep.

We really enjoyed the Kimpton, it was a great way to top off our trip to California. The location was great, right across the road from Huntington Beach, and just one street away from Main. The room was fab - very spacious, a couple of armchairs and two very comfortable queen beds, the bathroom also very large. Complimentary beer and wine each evening between 5-6pm which was a nice touch, in the internal courtyard which was a lovely place to hang out in. The adjoining cafe and bar were really lovely, and the hotel provides beach chairs, towels and umbrellas for trips to the beach which was very welcome!

We have stayed here once before, which is what brought us back. The location is in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach, walking distance to everything. The hotel offers lots of amenities, such as free bike rentals, free surfboards, free beach chairs, beach towels umbrella and had a small igloo cooler in the room for your convenience to pack a beach lunch. The rooms are very clean, very very comfortable beds, a mini fridge with optional in-room snacks, and a good size workspace. The bathroom is roomy with a large soaking tub & a free standing shower and comfortable robes. The ocean front rooms have amazing views of the iconic Huntington Beach pier. The restaurant is on the lobby level with plenty of choices. The hotel also offers some social activities for guests. We will definitely be returning.

We spent the night to celebrate our son's 13th bday. We were welcomed with mini cheesecakes that my son assumed were for him and felt special. The room Was big and worth it. The hotel itself, beautiful. And it was literally across the street from the pier!! My husband and I agreed we would be returning us two to take advantage of the hotel bar and city. The jarritos was a nice touch for the kids !

Restaurant customer service was excellent! Very professional, friendly, and on top of all things. The food was delicious however, a little pricey. Happy hour was nice to enjoy a glass of wine. The facilities on level two was very nice and I enjoyed the exterior as well as the set up. Loved that my dog could join us, and there were no fees involved.
